Information

Rosemary belongs to the Rosmarinus genre, of the family of
Lamiaceae and its scientific name is Rosmarinus Officinalis. It is a
shrubby, perennial bushy plant that can reach a height of three
metres. Its leaves are small, without petiole, slightly leathery, of a
beautiful dark green colour on the top face and green-silverywhite
on the bottom face, narrow, linear and very thick on the
branches, and rich in oleiferous glands which give them their
characteristic aroma.
The cultivation is carried out rigorously with biological
methods, all stages of processing are carried out by hand
without resorting to irrigations, pesticides and fertilizers but
only to sun, high mountain air and an uncontaminated soil.
That's why the Rosemary produced by “Azienda Agricola
Filippone” has an unmistakable aroma and genuineness.
We recommend the use of Rosemary to flavor meat, fish, soups,
“focaccia” (a kind of flat bread), aromatic oils and vinegars.
Since ancient times, the Rosemary has been attributed
stomachic, stimulant, aperitif, digestive, tonic-stimulant, antiseptic
properties.

Characteristics

We present our Rosemary in small bunches sealed in single
packets in order to maintain its peculiar characteristics, which
remain unaltered until the crumbling.
